The Brassey Hotel of Canberra is a heritage-listed AAA 4-star rated property located within the central, quiet, leafy tree lined suburb of Barton. The Brassey Hotel, named after Sir Thomas Brassey, Governor of Victoria from 1885 to 1900 and first Earl of Brassey from 1911 until his death in 1918, was completed in 1927 to coincide with the establishment of the Federal Parliament in Canberra. Today, The Brassey Hotel caters for the discerning traveler with a flair for elegance.
Praxis Interactive developed an attractive and stylish web site for The Brassey Hotel which condenses a wealth of information into an easy-to-navigate format. Based on our proprietary content management system, the web site offers fast access to important information about the hotel, news, special packages, all combined with a powerful yet easy-to-use back-end management facility.
The Brassey also requested the creation of a virtual tour section, allowing site visitors to take a virtual stroll through the hotel from the comfort of their browser. This exciting section lets guests explore the features of the beautiful heritage-listed property before setting foot in the hotel.
Also created was an aerial photos page to show the location of The Brassey in relation to popular destinations and landmarks in Canberra such as Parliament House, The National Gallery of Australia, Questacon, The National Museum of Australia, and the National Portrait Gallery.
